Several months back, I was working on the interior of my home while listening to CMT when "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" came on. I was drawn to the living room where the television was like a bug to a light bulb. I don't think that I blinked during the whole video. I could not believe the music that I was hearing. I was very impressed from that point. During the next month, I became obsessed with the "banjo". Now, I have never even touched a banjo before in my life. I finally honed in one in Memphis. I have been trying my best to play this thing with limited success. Does anyone know of any videos, literature, etc.....that would help me out with the basics? I had heard that Mr. Scruggs had some learning cassettes out a while back. Would they be too advanced for me? I ran across a website (www.bluegrassbanjo.com) which had Foggy Mountain Breakdown broken down for me. I have been working at it for a while now. I still need the basics. Any help would be helpful. Thanks
