When I first saw the video of "Foggy Mt Breakdown" I was a little taken back when I saw the electric intruments and keyboards on my very favorite "Bluegrass" tune. Then I thought about it for a minute and realized that good music, great music transcends any attempt to limit it to one style, and great music translates well into other styles of music. In fact that is an imortant key in identifying a great piece of music. More and more I see Bluegrass being aired and appreciated, and it is even more satisfying to see Earl Scruggs there with it. Earl provided the sound that jelled into what we call Bluegrass, and now he continues to expand that sound. He is a national treasure. JT
