Mr. Scruggs,
I am a long time fan of you and of bluegrass music. I have a friend, Randy Poindexter, who plays the banjo and he learned from you. He is a very talented musician. He also builds guitars and mandolins, and gives lessons also. He has a pupil, Danny, who thinks you're the greatest! And Randy is teaching him to play the "Scruggs" way also. Randy and another friend of his went to Shelby a few months ago and met your brother Horace and his wife. The trip made him tired but he said he wouldn't trade that day for anything!!! You see, he has rheumatoid arthritis but he still works hard in his shop... I thought you would like to know he is an Earl Scruggs fan all the way and so am I!!!
