Hi Earl, My grandmother, Sara Louise Scruggs Proffitt of Rutherfordton, NC always said that you are a second cousion to her. Her sister did not agree with that, so I wonder? Their parents were Robert Pickney Scruggs (born in Spartanburg County SC), and Della Ford Tisdale (born in Cleveland County, NC). Her father owned/operated a resin plant?, and also another plant, both of which burned I think? ARe you a relative of mine?
