Thanks to the magic of the internet, I am able to post
this message to you and have some small hope that you will see it.
Being on the west coast of Canada we don't get to see
much of you, but I was lucky enough to see you in Toronto in the early 80s. But I first saw you on the Beverly Hillbillies with Lester when I was a small boy. That show, and especially your music, were a major influence on my musical tastes and ambitions. The first song I learned on the Banjo was the Ballad of Jed Clampett.
Anyhow, I'm delighted to have a chance to share a few memories with other devotees, and look very much forward to seeing you on Letterman later this week!
