Thanks for developing the Scruggs style of banjo playing. I've been at it myself for thirty years and like nearly all three finger banjo players, I owe you a tremendous debt of gratitude. Your style is the basis of mine. I learned to play all the roll patterns in your book on page 23 and now use them to play the melody of the songs I'm trying to play. I always try to stick to the melody as much as possible because you do. When I was learning to play my Dad bought me your book and said, "learn from the master!" I think he gave me some great advice.
