is and I do love to hear Ralph! Earl did not ever use
another band member play primary banjo in concerts with him and on recordings.
Remember Ralph did not do 100% picking on Clinch Mt. Country and
various other recordings from the past few years.
Earl is as good as he was in the 1940s, '50s, '60s,
'70s, '80s,'90s and present. He still is leading with
new sounds and styles. I don't honestly think you
can compare the two men. They play totaly different styles.
Their picking is not the same as their choice in music.
