I'm considering buying either a Gibson Granada or Earl Scruggs Golden Deluxe banjo. My understanding is that the Golden Deluxe is basically like the Granada except it has an ebony fingerboad giving it a slightly brighter sound than the Granada. I was wondering if anyone has played both these banjos and can offer any comparison or comments as to differences in sound.
