Dear Mr. Scruggs,
I`m so excited to be sending you this message. I know that you are a enspiration to so many young & older banjo pickers, but to me your much more than that!!!
A few years ago I had a car wreck, I thought that I was going to die in this scary episode, but the Good Lord did not see fit for me to leave this world just yet. I believe that all of us in this old world have a purpose to fulfill, I believe that I have not yet fulfilled mine.
When I was a kid, my sister got a guitar for Christmas, insted of her eye`s glittering it were mine.As years went by I played, but there was something missing,"Desire".Desire is what I was missing, my desire was not to play the guitar, but something else, but I didin`t know what it was.
I was over at PaPa`s spending the night, he asked me if I wanted to watch a movie, I said yes. He put this old flat disc in his machine and I began to watch. You could just imagine what I was watching,"Yes" to answer your question, Bonnie & Clide. When I heard the high ring of that banjo playing I couldn`t hold myself together. I was about 9 years old when I heard "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" for the first time, it ran chills over my body, I knew then what my desire was,"THE BANJO"! I`ve been playing now for about 3 years, Mr. Scruggs you`ve changed my life and I Love You for it, Thank You! If there`s one thing in this life that I would long to do it would be to meet you Face to Face, I`m sure you here that a lot, Ha Ha! I do not have a computer at home yet, but I would love to talk with you again sometime. I might not have an E-Mail yet, but I certainly have a home address:15296 0ld Atlanta Rd.
