I have tried the Gibson strings on my Earl Scruggs Standard, my 1930 Gibson RB-1, my Robert Rock archtop, and the LucyTone banjo that I had built by Arnold Musical Instruments. I know this is based on personal taste and experience, but I have yet to find a string set better than the medium/light Bill Keith blue package. They last forever, keep constant tone, and don't stretch out as much as the Gibsons and the others that I have tried.
