Earl has been there and done that. He knows bluegrass is in good hands with Ricky,Vince,Allison,Dr. Ralph,Del's band and the others. Earl is not only a great inovator but also a great fan of other kinds of music and there's nothing he likes better than to jam with everyone from Sting to Leon Russell. Not to say a new CD of maybe Earl on banjo, Allison on fiddle, Ricky on mandolin, and Vince on guitar wouldn't be great, but Earl, more than anyone else in bluegrass history, has earned the right to do and record the kind of music he wants to do.
