Dunno about the Beach Boys - He participated in some sort of moritorium in, I think, 1969 - that's where he made the recorded comments about feeling sorrowful over the boys who were dying over there and if he thought the war was doing any good he wouldn't be against it - he was aked if he thought concerts to protest the war did any good -if he believed anyone was listening - he said that, in his opinion, "... if they don't listen they're missing the boat." All this is on one of his records - I don't recall the title - if I were at home I could look it up for ya.
