For my two-cents' worth, I'd have Les Arnold build you one. He lives in Mt. Holly, NC, and has an instrument-building shop there. From a Gibson standpoint, I have a Earl Scruggs Standard and a 1930 RB-1, all original, except for the head. He built mine and it is a cross between both Gibsons. Custom staining (mine is the old Gibson blue) and custom inlay. This is the one that I use on the road and in the studio. Gibsons are great, but I have experienced less-than-professional customer service from them. Again, this is my personal opinion.
