Thank you so much for your post. I used to watch the Jimmy Dean show as a young boy and was amazed when I watched Smitty Irvn play bluegrass. I've been trying for years to remember what his name was and what became of him............Thanks again. I think that Earl, like Chet Atkins, will be the last of his kind--they only make 'em once............Jack Baker
