As much as I love to listen to earl and his banjo I also loved Bill Monroe. I always like Sonny and Bill Osborne known as the Osborne Brothers. I had the chance to meet and talk with them not only in Memphis but backstage at the grand old opry as well back when I was 9 years old. They are all great at what they play but I must say I found one person that can play as well as Bill Monroe and as much as I love Ricky Skaggs he's much better. I wish they could play side by side. His name is Enoch mcCoy and he made his on mandolin. He may be retired from his job now days but he still makes mandolins and puts a Gibson guitar to shame. Gibson is one of the best. Just to bad I found one better. Since I know him personally I reckon I just can't help but brag on him. His bluegrass playing and mandolin playing are ever bit as good as Bill Monroe. I hope one day someone in Nashville gets to hear him as much as I do. I love to hear him. This new blugrass music with modern stuff people try to make bluegrass just doesn't cut it folks. Ya'll need to learn from the older folks and go back to the traditional ways.
