Insofar as Leon Russell, It is totally inaccurate to say he is an old rock star that hopped on the bluegrass bandwagon. Considering the album, I wouldn't think any of the artist would have this mindset. Leon didn't have to hop on anyone's bandwagon. He is still very active in concert work. Did you ever hear Hank Wilson's Back? Did you know The Newgrass Revival was once his opening act? Was it MacArthur that said, "Old soldiers never die. They just fade away?" Could change that to, "Old rock and rollers never die, they get more famous as time goes by."
Enjoy music for it's beauty and integrity-not to criticize,analyze, or box it in a corner. You can't accurately classify this video as Modern Bluegrass. It is beyond classification. It's a group of the greatest musicians doing what they love to do and it defies classification.
