Hello Earl I am a long time fan of you and Lester and I have most of your older gospel albums. I do a lot of bluegrass Gospel playing, churches, ect.
I have always noticed Lester used a thumb and finger pick. I knew he played the bass strings with the thumb pick, I was curious to know what he was doing with the finger pick, was he pulling up on the treble string, struming or what, this would mean a lot to me.
