I think that younger people are getting into bluegrass...its just a different style than you and I enjoy.

When you think about it...Foggy Mountain Breakdown was recorded over 50 years ago and to me nobody even comes close to it. To me the thing that draws younger people in to the music today is the flash of it.....but nobody can touch anything that Earl, Josh, Paul or Jake did back then.

I could rant on and on about how great the group was but I'll just tell you what inspired me. When I 13 years old I went to an auction near my house and really wanted to buy something...but all I could afford was to bid on a group of old records....$1.00 a piece and you took your choice...Never listening to Flatt and Scruggs but having heard the name...I spent my $2.00 for the week on 2 albums..."Songs of Glory" and "foggy Mt. Jamboree"....been hooked on the boys ever since then...and even got to talk to Earl in the early 80's and have a pic made with him....and have enjoyed getting the chance to meet Josh and visit with him at length at differnt festivals.
