i can remember back in the fifties before he was famous for his playing i was raised only a few miles from him my dad grew up around him theywerepickers all around would come to my dads house it dont matter to me if somebody is rich or poor i just loved my child hood and this pickin and playing the banjo was part of it.my dad is dead now and i just wanted earl to know i finally got to see him preform after fifty years of tryin to catch his performance i am a distant relative or i would not have the same last name of his mother. lloyd ruppe and lula ruppe were my grand parents raised in cliffside and around cleveland county well i just wanted to let you know i was not tryin to offend anybody or wanted him to go off his job to speak to a relative like me.
