A TRUE BLUEGRASS GROUP WOULD HAVE A BANJO IN THE BAND AND SING SONGS THAT MEANT SOMETHING. PLAYING A VIOLIN AND A MANDOLIN AND SINGING ABOUT A BUNCH OF STUFF THAT MAKES NO SENSE ISNT BLUEGRASS.

I GET SICK OF SEEING NICKEL CREEK WHEN AWARDS FOR BLUEGRASS WHEN THEY ARE NOTHING OF THE SORT.

THEY ARE MORE JAZZ/POP/CRAP THAN ANYTHING.

OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU I DONT REALLY THINK WAS BLUEGRASS EITHER. MAYBE 1 SONG BUT THE WAY IT WAS ARRANGED IT WAS MORE LIKE OLD TIME FOLK MUSIC. IT DID SPAWN MORE NOTORIETY FOR BLUEGRASS THOUGH. MANY PEOPLE DECIDED TO JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON OF SUCCESS AND TRY TO BETTER THEIR CAREER I.E. PATTY LOVELESS. THAT WAS, MORE THAN LIKELY, A ONE TIME THING FOR HER.

I HAVE RESPECT FOR PEOPLE LIKE RICKY SKAGGS. HE SWITCHED AND SWITCHED COMPLETELY. HE DOESNT TRY TO RIDE THE MUSIC THAT IS MORE SUCCESSFUL AT THE TIME. VINCE GILL COULD BE GOOD IN BLUEGRASS BUT NOT WHEN HE IS DOING BOTH WHENEVER HE FEELS LIKE IT. IF YOURE A BLUEGRASS LOVER THEN GO ALL OUT..
