I don't agree. I think that Gibsons are spotty. You can play two Gibsons that were built back to back. One may play great, while the other doesn't. I do agree that there is nothing like a good Gibson. I do play a Stelling, and recently purchased a Rich & Taylor. The Rich & Taylor has the "Gibson Sound". I have found that Stelling produces a much more consistent product. Best advise is to go out there and play every banjo that you can get your hands on. Buy the best banjo that you can as it will feel as though it plays itself, and because of the money that you might spend, you will feel obliged to practice.
