yup - thanks
When I was a teenager, I had 3 brothers and a brother-in-law in that stinkin war (and 2 brothers at home planning to visit my sister in Canada!).
When I heard Scruggs speak out about it, I felt so proud of him for that. When the NGDB Circle album came out - I was proud of him for that, too. I always respected Earl Scruggs when I was a little squirt because of his musicianship but when he embrassed the youth of the 70's and stood for what he believed in against the general southern currents, I felt a real sense of admiration for his integrity and honesty. I can't say I love Earl Scruggs because I don't know him. But, I guess I come as close as admiration from afar allows. So for me - Scrugg-Daddy Rules! - even if he is a banjo picker (I'm a fiddle-freak, myself - ya'll gonna ban me from this web-site for that? :-)
