Yes, I remember Irvin Sharpe and the puppets, and of course, Don as Chicken Hotrod. Maybe I'm imagining this, but it seems like I can remember something about Don and Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith doing a clown skit together. My Henryetta's sister is very good friends with Arthur's wife, so maybe when I get back to the U. S. I'll have an opportunity to get it straight from the horse's mouth.
Do you remember a young guitar picker named Steve Chatman that appeared with them in the early '60's? He was a talented young man and I've often wondered what happened to him.
BTW, I love Dr. Pepper, but in my 54 years, I have never had one hot with or without lemon. Am I missing something?
