Hello Earl
This seems to be the easiest way to contact you, I am the president of the National Traditional Country Music Assn., and director of the annual National Old Time Country & Bluegrass Festival in Avoca, Iowa. Your name has been placed in nomination to be inducted into America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame, which has been in existence since 1976, and is now located in it's own building in Anita, Iowa. Quite a few of your predecessors are already in, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Jim & Jesse, to name just a few. The ceremony for this induction takes place on September 1 at the grandstand mainstage at the Avoca Festival this year. We would like to try to get you to the festival for the induction, and have a small budget to help with travel, etc. We also have a small budget for a short performance if that would help. Of course you have never performed much in Iowa, so product sales would also be very good for you. Other inductees coming this year include Albert Brumley Jr (for himself and his father) James Monroe (for himself and his Uncles Charley and Birch) Tommy Overstreet (for himself) Johnny Carson (he recently gave the town of Avoca $250,000 for their swimming pool) and a host of other lesser known celebrities. I don't know how else to contact you, but I would hope you would check out our website for up-to-date information on this project, and we of course would hope you would contact us regarding the Hall of Fame nomination. Thank you very much, www.oldtimemusic.bigstep.com
Bob Everhart, President, NTCMA
