August 1st will be release date and it's on MCA Records. Friends include Sting, Elton John and Melissa Ethridge. If you are like me these are not exactly the first people I'd like to see on an Earl Scruggs cd.
However, also on the cd are Johnny Cash Rosanne Cash, Dwight Yoakam, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Paul Shaffer, Leon Russell, Travis Tritt, Kevin Welch and Steve Martin (finally - a banjo player).
I was hoping for greater slant on pickers and more country agenda. Well, should be interesting anyway.
